This 3D computer-animated comedy-drama film was produced by Pixar and released by Walt Disney Studios in June 2015. Considered to be Pixar’s greatest movie, “Inside Out” tells the story of Riley, a young girl who moves to San Francisco when her father starts a new job. Riley is guided by her emotions: Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness. Her emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, and they struggle to adjust to a new life in a different city, home, and school. It’s a wonderful movie that will certainly leave you sobbing louder than a child.
If you’re a dog person, you’re going to love this movie. Released in June 2015 and directed by Boaz Yakin, “Max” is one of the greatest and saddest movies of the last year. This adventurous drama is about a family who adopts the highly trained service dog of their soldier son after his death. After U.S. Marine Kyle Wincott is killed in Afghanistan, his dog Max is traumatized to remain in service and his family adopts the dog. “Max” is a major tearjerker you must see!
Directed by Lenny Abrahamson, “Room” is a Canadian-Irish drama movie, which was released in October 2015. Based on Emma Donoghue’s novel of the same name, “Room” is undoubtedly one of the most emotional and touching movies of 2015.
This movie is about a woman named Joy and her child Jack who are held captive in a room for seven years by a twisted man who is also Jack’s biological father. Jack is only 5 years old and he has lived all his life in one room. He believes everything within the room are the only real things in the world. But, what will happen when his mother tells him that there are other things outside of the room?
“Beasts of No Nation”
“Beasts of No Nation” is a 2015 war drama movie that was written and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. This is one of the most heart-wrenching and tear-worthy movies that tell the story of a young boy who is put through a lot of really awful stuff. Agu is a young child soldier who has lost his family during the horrific war of an unnamed African country. He falls into the hands of a frightening commander who uses force, drugs, and threats to commandeer an entire army of child soldiers. “Beasts of No Nation” is a gripping tale about a boy who’s been horribly traumatized by being taught to torture and kill. This is a powerful and sad movie that will hit you hard and convey emotions incredibly quickly.
