Having a cinema room in your home doesn’t mean that you have to spend a lot of money on expensive equipment and fancy gadgets. In fact, with a few basic elements you can create a great home theatre ready for hosting fun movie nights for your family and friends. To begin with you would have to choose the right location for your home theatre. This should be a room that is large enough for placing the desired number of seats and preferably with no windows or at least one, so that you can easily manage natural light.
Once you’ve found the perfect room in your house for this purpose it’s time to equipped it with some essential devices including a large TV and a quality surround system. For a great home theatre experience I would recommend a 50” or larger screen size. You should choose your TV type according to the light conditions in your room. For rooms where there is no natural light it’s best to get a Plasma or OLED TV, both models provide deep, rich colours that best stand out in the dark. For brighter rooms any kind of model would work fine, whether that be LCD, LED or Plasma. As for the surround system you would want something that provides clear sounds, is easy to set up and you can quickly connect to your TV. After you have chose your devices next comes the most important part of designing your cinema room- choosing the right seating. You would need something comfortable, durable and easy to clean.
A quality home theatre sofa can usually comfortable accommodate three to four people. Before decide on a model take measurements of the entire room and chose where you want to put your sofa. Make sure there is a comfortable viewing distance between the seats and the screen. When you measure don’t forget to leave room between each seat so you and your guests can move freely. All this will help you decide what the size of the home theatre sofa that would work best for your available space. Besides adequate size, you would want a sofa that is made from durable, long lasting materials. Leather and microfibre are the most commonly used ones. Combining nylon and polyester microfibre is easy to clean, soft and comfortable material. Leather is generally more durable than microfibre, boost an elegant look and is resistant to stains and spills.
